DO I NEED A MOBILE WEBSITE?

Google Favors Mobile-Friendly Websites
Here is a very good reason to have a mobile website. Since 21 April 2015, Google lowers search engine rankings for websites that are problematic to mobile users. Websites will take a significant hit in search results if they are not mobile-friendly.
Even having a mobile website that has shortcomings could land you lower in Google search results.
One of those shortcomings is redirecting all pages of a standard website to one home page on the mobile website instead of having a redirect for every web page.
Another problem is video that plays on standard websites and not on smartphones. This is the case if video is played in Flash instead of HTML5.
Page load speed is also something to consider, as Google is trying to offer search results to mobile users that satisfies them instead of frustrating them.
Take the mobile-friendly test.
